Jama fled civil war in Somalia to claim asylum in Britain aged seven.
He has supported refugees and asylum seekers for more than ten years, having set up the Golis Community Association and chaired the East African Support Group.
In November 2019 he was unanimously elected as the Chair of Investing in People and Culture.
